Thank you for all your prayers and support. We have just completed our 2012 Summer Concert events and we are looking forward to our next event, which is our 4th Annual Christmas Festival. Please continue to pray, volunteer and support us as we reach the lost for Christ in an exciting and unique way. If you'd like to keep up to date with our outreach, visit our website www.xclaimed.org or facebook.com/xclaimed .
Our event on September 22 was another miraculous function. We estimated that over 400 people were in attendance and about half of them were children (it is always amazing to see so many children).
It was great that there was such a large turn-out of people and it was especially inspiring to see that they were a very attentive crowd. After the band played their energized and uplifting set, I delivered a message of Hope in Christ; that Jesus loves each and every one of us. I always give an invitation to the crowd to accept Christ into their lives and at this event at least 10% (or more) responded. There were some real changes made in these lives.
At this event, we knew that it was going to be almost unbearably HOT! So, we created a “COOL-OFF ZONE” and the people loved it. We simply took two of our 10x10 canopies and added a “Mist-er” system around the inside top. It was a blast and very refreshing in the heat. Besides our own church family, there were several other local churches represented: Anaheim Baptist Fellowship, Iglesia Ministerio Manantial de Vida, La Palma Christian Center, Torrance Church of the Nazarene, Crescent Ave Family Ministries, San Pedro Church of the Nazarene, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, Calvary Chapel Anaheim, Huntington Beach Church of the Nazarene, Placentia Church of the Nazarene and Cerritos Crossroads Multinational Church of the Nazarene.
We served hundreds of burgers, bags of chips and bottled water. As usual, the highlight for the children was the free bicycles and toys. The line for the toys was so long that it went into the parking lot, so we had to break the line in to two groups to keep the kids from being in the traffic area.
For the 2012 summer season (four concerts), we have given away 42 new bicycles, nearly 2,000 toys, over 1,500 free meals and hundreds of free Bibles. Approximately 1,600 people have heard the Gospel preached and between 8-10% have given their lives to Jesus Christ.
I often tell people that if someone would have told me that evangelism could be this exciting, I would have signed up years ago. We literally are being the body of Christ reaching out to the community and meeting their spiritual and physical needs.
Outreach takes money, Outreach takes faith, Outreach takes courage, Outreach takes prayer and Outreach takes commitment
There is no easy formula for reaching the lost, but we must reach them by any means possible if they are going to be saved. Xclaimed Ministries has continually been committed to reaching the lost. Your continued support of donations and prayers has supplied us with the ability to help people in need. At Xclaimed Ministries, we are dedicated to consistently being an active outreach to the community and by doing so we are very often blessed to see lives changing physically and spiritually. If you would like to help financially, let God lead you to your tax-deductible gift. Please make checks payable to Xclaimed Ministries or donate online (electronic check or credit card) at www.xclaimed.org
By the way, now that my book is published, Faith of a Mustard Seed, I am scheduling speaking dates to teach others how to “Pursue a life led by faith rather than fear; hope rather than doubt.” The book gives hope to those who want to have faith but find that fear keeps getting in their way. Please consider me for your next event, camp or worship service.
